I am so glad I found this website, since two weeks from now I shall be member of a jury at the University of Uppsala, Sweden, marking the doctoral thesis written by a young Iranian woman, about French translations of the Divan of Hafez. Three years ago I also was happy enough to give a lecture about Persian poetry to a group of Swedish tourists - and where? In Shiraz of course, beside the grave of Hafez, and then continuing the lecture in front of the mausoleum of Sa'di! I can assure you that it gave me an absolutely incomparable feeling of happiness and joy to be there, at the last resting-places of these two wonderful great poets.I sincerely hope that my audience also got something of the same feeling.
